Victor Lindelof has been recalled to SL Benfica’s squad for their match against V.Guimaraes on Friday night.
Lindelof missed both of Benfica’s most recent fixtures having been left out of their squad completely amid heavy interest from Manchester United but he’s now back.
His return comes straight after comments from his former club Vasteras whose director has confirmed an agreement has been reached between Benfica and Vasteras over a contractual dispute to do with Lindelof and a selling on percentage Vasteras were due.

It’ll be interesting to see how Lindelof plays given he knows how may eyeballs from all around the world, particularly Manchester, will be scrutinising his performance. Can he cope with that sort of added pressure?
There are conflicting reports about Lindelof and United’s interest in him but as far as we are concerned, if there is going to be a new centre-back arriving in January then it looks like it will be Lindelof.
We’ll take a look at Benfica’s game later on to see how Lindelof plays and may bring you a report on how he gets on but the mere fact he’s back in the squad suggests something has been resolved behind the scenes.
