Daley Blind has revealed the dressing room atmosphere after Manchester United’s 4-0 victory over Reading in the FA Cup third round.
Man United came to their eighth consecutive win after beating Jaap Stam’s men and have done a brilliant job of maintaining their fine form.
Jose Mourinho made nine changes to the side that beat West Ham in the Premier League, resting important players for those who haven’t been given the right opportunities such as Anthony Martial, Marounane Fellaini, Ashley Young, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Tim Fosu-Mensah
Speaking about the players, Blind claims everyone is good spirits as the club’s campaign gains momentum.
“We have a big squad but everybody is competing,” he said. “Everybody wants to be better – there is a lot of competition and that makes the team better and everybody shows that he is ready to play when he needs to.
“That is the thing that is important for the team. We need everyone.
“It’s eight straight wins bit we also keep in mind that it doesn’t come from nothing. We work hard for it in the training sessions.
“Team spirit is good so it is up to us to keep it like that. We have to work hard to keep it going.”
United have done a brilliant job of keeping up the impressive performances and hopes are they can continue the unbeaten run against Hull City on Tuesday.
There are plenty of players in the side fighting for a place in the starting XI and as Blind has explained, everyone is aware they need to work hard to keep their place in the squad.
