Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been awarded the Premier League’s December goal of the month award for his spectacular scorpion kick against Sunderland.
The Armenian made a slow start in the Premier League after Jose Mourinho claimed he found it tough to adapt to life in England, but he’s been a vital member of the squad in recent weeks.
He has enjoyed a number of brilliant performances at Man United and has made a solid case for cementing his place in the starting XI moving forward.
Here’s a look at Mkhitaryan with his well-deserved award.

Mkhitaryan’s remarkable scorpion kick against Sunderland unsurprisingly also took an unsurprising landslide victory in the club’s latest Goal of the Month poll.
His technique was absolutely brilliant and the way he adjusted his body looked like pure instinct, and there’s no doubt that supporters have finally realised what he is actually capable of.
He was delighted after the game and claimed it was the best goal he had ever scored in his career, but if he’s performing so well just weeks after settling into the squad, then I can’t wait to see what else Mkhitaryan has to offer to the side.
