Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been voted as Premier League Player of the Month for December following a sensational goalscoring spree at Manchester United.
The Swede, who joined the club in July, netted six goals and recorded three assists during December, helping Jose Mourinho‘s men to claim six wins from seven games heading into the new year.
He now has 18 goals in total for this season, which already eclipses the total reached by Anthony Martial (17) to secure his status as top scorer last season.
It was confirmed earlier today that Zlatan, along with claiming Man United’s Player of the Month award, had picked up the official Premier League Player of the Month award as well.

You can really sense that the 35-year-old’s overall presence – hallmarked by that insatiable, cold glare of determination, like the face of a trained assassin – has an impact on the entire side. He demands not just victory but cold blooded execution, and this kind of mindset is indeed contagious.
With Zlatan firing as the mouthpiece of United’s attack Mourinho’s men have quickly morphed into a ruthless, powerful goal machine, capable of not just dominating possession and chances but indeed romping to victory, and United fans will hope to see such a run continue.
