The big Swede has been in spectacular form since his arrival at Old Trafford and scored his 14h goal since his arrival from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer last summer in the 1-1 draw over Liverpool on Sunday night.
He has been a real leader at Man United and following Real Madrid’s loss, has helped United hold the longest unbeaten run for teams in Europe’s top six leagues with 16 games.
Speaking about Zlatan, Pogba was full of praise for his teammate.
“He’s a leader, someone who gives advice. He’s always behind us. He’s a bit the big brother of the team,” he said.
“He’s — he’s not going to like this — ‘the little old one.’ He’s the oldest member of the squad with a lot of experience. He’s changed a lot of clubs, he’s a great player who has played in great clubs. He’s a leader on and off the pitch.
“He has charisma, a personality, he gives off something. What he does here is exceptional at his age. It’s amazing what he does. I think he’s going to continue. He’s fit. Despite his age, he doesn’t get injured much.”
The draw against Liverpool was a must-win clash for United and they now face Stoke City on Saturday 12 points behind league leaders Chelsea.
Hopes are Zlatan can maintain his brilliant form as he’s been a vital part of United’s resurgence and will be looking to close the gap on the top four moving forward.
