Luke Shaw’s agent confirms he’s happy at Manchester United

Luke Shaw‘s agent is furious with reports claiming the Englishman could leave Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

The 21-year-old has made just 13 appearances under Jose Mourinho and has not played since November, struggling with a host of injuries, but he’s been overlooked for the last three matches against Reading, Hull and Liverpool.

Mourinho has publicly criticised Shaw twice this season and it didn’t seem like they had gotten off to a good start at Old Trafford.

Speaking about recent reports, his agent, Jonathan Barnett was angry about the claims.

“I am angry with these reports suggesting Luke Shaw will leave Manchester United in the summer,” he said. “I am angry at the irresponsible journalism.

Luke Shaw is happy at Manchester United and also, Manchester United are happy with him.”

Injuries and illnesses have prevented him from playing in the starting XI, but the club’s hierarchy have allegedly put a contract extension on hold with Mourinho disappointed about Shaw’s a lack of development during his time at the club.

Mourinho has rotated between Matteo Darmian and Daley Blind in Shaw’s absence, but the Englishman’s injury has left a gap in the side that hasn’t been filled and it’ll be brilliant to have him back on the pitch.
