Jose Mourinho has issued an injury update on Manchester United’s squad ahead of the Stoke City clash.
The Portuguese boss will be set on making it 17 games unbeaten in all competitions, with their last defeat coming at Fenerbahce in the first game of November.
Marcos Rojo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic returned to action for the 1-1 draw against Liverpool, with Eric Bailly unavailable due to his participation in the Africa Cup of Nations with Ivory Coast for the rest of the month.
Speaking in his press conference ahead of the game, Mourinho confirmed the club are in a good situation.
“We are fine,” he said. “We have little problems, which is normal, but not [they are not] big issues. We have a very good situation.”
United have been in brilliant form in recent months and have done a spectacular job of closing the gap on the top four following a shaky start to the season, but failing to claim all three points against Liverpool last weekend, means they must win against Mark Hughes’ men.
The side sit 12 points behind leaders Chelsea, but are only five points behind second-place Tottenham Hotspur, and a win this weekend could see United finally get back into the top four race.
