Ashley Young has been pictured back at Carrington reporting for Manchester United training amid speculation linking him with a January transfer.
There were said to be five clubs interested in acquiring his services this month, however Jose Mourinho claimed he would love to keep the Englishman at the club if he had the opportunity.
He’s been on the search for more game time as he’s only featured for Man United when Mourinho has rotated his squad in one of their four competitions, but he hasn’t seen much of the first-team.
Here’s a photo of Young at Carrington on Tuesday morning via Cavendish Press.
It’s clear by the way Mourinho spoke so highly of him in his press conference that he is a fan of Young and would love to keep ahold of his services at Old Trafford.
You can’t blame the 31-year-old for looking for more game time, especially as he enters the latter stages of his career, but it remains to be seen how Mourinho will fit him into the side, especially with other players proving they have more to offer.
The fact that he’s returned to Carrington with plenty of reports claiming he won’t be going anywhere may prove that Mourinho has persuaded him to stay.
