Manchester United deny reports of Antoine Griezmann agreeing personal terms

Manchester United have denied reports that they have agreed personal terms with Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann.

Reports on Wednesday night claimed the 25-year-old would arrive at Old Trafford in the summer on the same salary as Paul Pogba in a deal potentially worth in excess of £85 million.

However, the Press Association claim there is not agreement in place tying Griezmann with a move to Man United, linking a United source.

Mourinho has confirmed in his press conference that the club already understand their summer targets, having recently been heavily linked to Griezmann and Benfica’s Victor Lindelof.

Even if United had agreed a deal with Griezmann, club officials would not be willing to disclose information of a move that won’t be happening for a while as it could offset the player during his time remaining at the Vicente Calderon.

The Portuguese boss is brilliant at signing players he wants, brining in the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Paul Pogba and Eric Bailly in his first transfer window at the club without Champions League football to offer.

He’s been regularly linked with a move to United and there’s no doubt that if Mourinho wants him at Old Trafford, we could see him in a United shirt.
