Manchester United fans were left frustrated with Paul Pogba‘s performance against Hull City in the Premier League on Wednesday night.
The Frenchman endured a tough start at Old Trafford against Marco Silva’s men as he failed to create any opportunities and get the ball forward into dangerous positions, also missing a clear cut opportunity after Zlatan Ibrahimovic played him through.
However, coming into the second-half after Michael Carrick was taken off, Pogba sat back and begun to orchestrate the play, setting up brilliant long ball chances for both Ibrahimovic and Marcus Rashford, although they couldn’t find the back of the net.
Here’s what fans on social media had to say about his performance.

Carrick barely put a foot wrong in the first half. Should have subbed off Pogba. Needs to learn a lesson.

Why is Pogba playing like Fellaini ????

Pogba is playing far too deep today

Supporters were annoyed when Carrick was taken off at half time instead of Pogba as he just hasn’t been able to replicate the same impact he’s had in the side in recent months.
He even stopped a key pass from Hull in the 65th minute which was a clear goal-scoring opportunity, but he was just playing far too deep and wasn’t playing with the same freedom he usually has.
Every player has a bad game but the fact that he’s now the world’s most expensive footballer hasn’t helped the situation as he’s often unfairly criticised.
