Manchester United defender Sadiq El Fitouri has been sold to League One side Chesterfield.
The 22-year-old joined Man United in a fairytale story from Salford City after being spotted by Nicky Butt and Phil Neville after they took over the Manchester club and became a regular feature for our U23s side.
Last season El Fitouri made 15 appearances in the 2015/16 title winning season under Warren Joyce and went on to make 14 appearances this year before he was sold to Chesterfield.

A full-back by trade, El Fitouri will go straight into Chesterfield’s squad to face Oldham Athletic this weekend and the only thing I am surprised about with this transfer is that it didn’t happen a bit sooner.
El Fitouri never struck me as a player who looked like he was going to break into United’s first-team any time soon. Whenever I watched him, I felt that the reserves was his level and ultimately that has proven to be the case following his departure from the club.
That being said, he does look like he can go on to become a decent player in the Football League and here’s hoping he can do that at Chesterfield. Good luck to him there, whatever happens he’s come a long way from playing for Salford City only a couple of years ago.
