Eden Hazard explains why Manchester United will finish in the top four

Eden Hazard has explained why Manchester United will finish in the top four, pointing towards their recent resurgence in form and strong squad.

Jose Mourinho‘s men endured a shaky start to the season, managing just two Premier League wins from September to early December.

They mounted something of a fightback over the Christmas period with a nine-game winning run, but still find themselves in sixth spot after three consecutive Premier League draws.

But Hazard, speaking earlier this week, noted that Mourinho’s side have what it takes to breach the top four.

“United had a bad first part of the season and I think for a couple of games now, they played well,” he said.

“They drew against Stoke, but they have good players and the squad is very good. The manager is good, so they will be second or third.”

Only in the Premier League could a sixth placed side draw three games in succession and still remain just five points off second place. The draw with Hull served as a gloomy reminder that, actually, more work needs to be done, but Man United will take confidence from the fact that their next game against a ‘big side’ comes during April – at home to Chelsea on the 15th.

Mourinho’s men, therefore, have a great opportunity to make up some ground on the top four over the next two months.
