Eric Bailly produced a solid display in Manchester United’s 2-0 victory over Watford on Saturday evening.
The Ivorian returned to Old Trafford after his commitments with Ivory Coast in the Africa cup of Nations and played with the Reserves against Everton, but was forced off the pitch with an injury.
His commanding displays have quickly made him a fan favourite and although his debut campaign was disrupted by knee injuries sustained in the away games at Chelsea and Crystal Palace, he’s been back in brilliant form.
Here’s a look at his statistics from the win over Walter Mazzarri’s men.

At 22, it’s incredible to think that he’s only at the start of his career at Old Trafford, as he’s already done an incredible job of taking control of Mourinho’s backline.
It’s still only early days for his United career, but it’s hard not to be excited by his talent as he has the right skill set to become a top class defender, especially with guidance from Mourinho.
There aren’t many players that can defend like Bailly with pace, and there’s no doubt that the two assets combined, will make him a massive threat to Premier League rivals.
