Jose Mourinho explains why he’s been very impressed with Paul Pogba at Man United

Jose Mourinho has been delighted with Paul Pogba‘s recent performances as he’s been playing with his brain more.

The Frenchman arrived at Old Trafford as the world’s most expensive player in the summer transfer window and has come under heavy scrutiny during his time back in England.

His recent displays have been very impressive and a look at his first-half numbers of the 2-0 victory over Watford show he won 100% of his tackles and aerial duels and completed 100% of his take-ons.

Speaking about his performances, Mourinho has been left very impressed by his step up.

“Paul is playing with great balance, great balance these last two matches,” he said.

“He’s playing with his brain, he’s recovering lots of balls, he’s been very good in his position play.”

Pogba has often been unfairly criticised even when has has performed well as some consider the fact that he hasn’t found a goal unacceptable, however, he completely dominates the midfield play and dictates the game.

At 23, it’s incredible to think he’s still at the start of his career under Mourinho as it’s scary to think about how good he can go on to become under the Portuguese boss.
