Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic insists nothing is certain with his future at the club but insists he has fulfilled the requirements needed to extend his contract.
The 35-year-old arrived at the club last summer on a free transfer in a one-year deal and has already scored 20 goals this season even though we’re only halfway through the campaign.
He has the option to extend his stay at the club and Jose Mourinho believed he would still be at Old Trafford in 2017-18 after showcasing his commitment to the club.
Speaking about his future, Ibrahimovic was not willing to give anything away.
“We’ll wait and see,” he said.
“The option is already fulfilled. But there’s nothing done yet. From my side. Let’s see what happens.”
He’s been able to help United challenge on four fronts this season and they’re doing a brilliant job of closing the gap on the Premier League top four as they sit just two points off second-place Tottenham Hotspur.
While some thought he wouldn’t be able to deal with the intensity of the Premier League as he enters the latter stages of his career, Zlatan has done what he does best in proving he’s aged like a fine wine.
