Galatasaray sporting director confirms Bruma wants to play for Manchester United

Galatasaray sporting director Levent Nazifoglu has confirmed Bruma would love to play for Manchester United.

Bruma has registered seven goals and five assists in 18 Super Lig appearances this campaign, and now Nazifoglu insists he’s aiming for a move under Jose Mourinho after being heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent times.

The Portuguese star has been known for his speed and has previously revealed his love for Mourinho, but according to Nazifoglu, he seems desperate to join him.

“Bruma aims to play for Manchester United but if he wants this he must change certain things,” he said.

Back in December, he confirmed negotiations with Mourinho in the previous summer transfer window but a move never materialised.

“I feel that an important manager is interested in me is very nice and it’s a great feeling that he cares about me,” he added.

“I have to do great things at Galatasaray to open the doors. I think it’s early to think about it.”

Like you get with slot machines, there’s a jackpot at the end of it when it comes to transfer news at Man United and a club director confirming his player wants to move to Old Trafford is a come and get me plea. Whether Mourinho follows up on it is another thing altogether but Bruma, 22, is certainly considered a top talent.

United beat Galatasaray 5-2 during this pre-season and Bruma himself got on the score sheet, which would no doubt have caught Mourinho’s eye, and Mourinho allegedly had a private word with Bruma ahead of kick-off.

He’s been at the club since 2013 and will need to re-find his best form before a move to England in the summer transfer window becomes a possibility.
