Henrikh Mkhitaryan has travelled with his Manchester United teammates down to London for Sunday’s EFL Cup final against Southampton.
Jose Mourinho said the Armenian midfielder was ruled out of the final due to injury but Mkhitaryan is part of Man United’s travelling squad, raising questions over whether Mourinho might have been playing mind games with us.

Please Jose, please let this be some mind games. Odds are Mkhitaryan has simply travelled to be with the squad for the day itself but here’s hoping he’s fit and ready to play. For me, there is no more important player to our attack than Mkhitaryan because of his pace in the No.10 role.
I may have had a bit of a premonition too:
Well, it might have been a bit of blind hope at that stage but stranger things have happened in football, right? I’ll go to bed with thoughts of Mkhitaryan scoring a 92nd minute winner in front of 30,000 reds going barmy in Wembley, that’s not too much to ask.
