Phil Neville believes Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford will be as good as Antoine Griezmann in two or three years time.
The Frenchman has been heavily linked with an Old Trafford move this summer, with reports claiming he has signed a pre-contract agreement with Jose Mourinho.
Rashford has impressed during his time with the first-team, as the 25th of February 2016, marks the date he made his senior debut against FC Midtjylland in the Europa League and it’s incredible to think about how far he’s come just a year later.
Speaking about his talent, Neville claims Rashford has the ability to play on Griezmann’s level.
“Marcus will need challenging all the time because he’s got so much ability.
“You have got to be inspired by Griezmann [potentially] coming in.
“Marcus can be as good as Griezmann in two or three years’ time.”
United set the world transfer record with their £89m signing of Paul Pogba from Juventus in the summer, but Griezmann is likely to cost close to a world-record fee in the summer.
Meanwhile Rashford has cost us nothing, the 19-year-old is only at the start of his career, has already made 50 first-team appearances and is a massive talent for the future, as Neville suggests.
