Henrikh Mkhitaryan has thanked Manchester United supporters for their overwhelming support as he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury.
The Armenian miss out on a first winner’s medal with Man United in the EFL Cup final after he was forced off the pitch in the win over St Etienne last week, where he found the only goal of the game.
It was a shame that he wasn’t in action as he definitely would have been in the line-up if he was fit, but he could be ready to return for the visit of Bournemouth on Saturday.
Mkhitaryan gave his followers an update on his recovery on social media, tweeting: “Your get well messages are really helping me with my recovery! Thank U.”

Jesse Lingard was brilliant in Mkhitaryan’s absence and found himself another goal at Wembley, but it was almost impossible for fill the Armenian’s boots, who has been our standout performer since his return to the first-team.
He’s scored six goals, assisted another five, received six man of the match awards and won the Goal of the Month award for December over three months, and has quickly established himself as a fan favourite.
