Tianjin Quanjian manager Fabio Cannavaro has confirmed that he was offered Marouane Fellaini over the January transfer window.
It was reported prior to the January transfer window that Fellaini, in spite of his relative lack of popularity with supporters, would remain at Old Trafford this season.
However, Cannavaro revealed earlier this week that he turned down a chance to sign Fellaini earlier this year.

Mourinho has always placed emphasis on maintaining an intimate, collective sphere within the dressing room, generating an ‘us against them’ mentality through a mixture of loyal support for his own players and vehement attitude towards basically anything else.
And this is the line he took – or at least appeared to take – with Fellaini, back when the Belgian’s presence in the starting XI, or even on the touchline as he warmed up, prompted widespread fury amongst supporters. He received the manager’s public support and has, to his credit, responded well, but it appears that behind closed doors there was a desire to offload the Belgian, and many supporters will be disappointed to see that such a motive didn’t come to fruition.
