Manchester United fans were disappointed with Zlatan Ibrahimovic‘s performance against Bournemouth at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
The big Swede has played a vital role at Old Trafford this campaign as the club’s top goalscorer, but he wasn’t able to make anything happen against Eddie Howe’s men.
He was involved in two red card worthy incidents with Bournemouth defender Tyrone Mings and then failed to score a penalty as Man United desperately searched for a goal with the game at 1-1.
Here’s what fans on social media had to say about his performance.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic missing open goals, miscontrolling balls and picking fights. Nowhere near his usual self. #MUNBOU

If Ibrahimovic doesn't score in this game it'll be remembered as his worst for United. Struggling to think of anything he's done right.

0 – Zlatan Ibrahimovic missed his first penalty in a league game since September 2015 (for PSG v Guingamp). Denied.

I have no words for Ibrahimovic today

For all Ibrahimovic's class and vital goals that he has scored – he has also cost #mufc a lot of points

All these missed chances but main culprit was Ibrahimovic. Missing a penalty. Far too casual.

It was another one of those days for United, with 45 minutes at 10 men they still couldn’t regain the lead, with another goalkeeper coming to Old Trafford and having a brilliant performance against Mourinho’s men.
While Ibrahimovic has been brilliant this season with 26 goals across all competitions, he has still missed plenty of chances which could have left his tally much higher, as United turned to him to find the winning goal of the game.
It’s a shame because United made many chances to score goals, but we failed to remain clinical in front of goal, missing out on two vital points in our race for a Champions League qualification.
