Rio Ferdinand believes Manchester United will finish in the Premier League top four this season.
Man United have been challenging for silverware on different fronts this season, but the main challenge is a Champions League qualification, which was made harder following the 1-1 draw with Bournemouth at Old Trafford on Saturday.
It was the club’s seventh home draw in the league this season and Man United missed out on a perfect opportunity to move out of sixth place as they are three points off fourth place with 12 games to play.
Speaking about the situation, Ferdinand claims Jose Mourinho must be able to pick up the players and work on consistency.
“I think it will be Arsenal and Liverpool who miss out. The problem is, all the teams we’ve mentioned have an inconsistency,” he said.
“United have got into a groove and a mentality, and a way of winning. They drew (with Bournemouth), but they’ve got their hands on a trophy.
The draw was a shame as United deserved to leave Old Trafford with all three points as they dominated the game but failed to remain clinical in front of goal.
Hopes are they can continue their unbeaten run and close the gap as they still sit within touching distance of the top four.
