Here is the latest Manchester United squad news ahead of our trip to Russia this weekend to face FC Rostov.
Eric Bailly is suspended from this clash with FC Rostov thanks to the red card he received in the second leg against St. Etienne. Bailly picked up two yellow cards and Man United will have to cope without him.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan is in line for a potential return against FC Rostov but if I was Jose Mourinho I’d keep the Armenian midfielder rested for the FA Cup quarter-final with Chelsea. That’s the match I’d rather see him be involved in.
Bastian Schweinsteiger was missing from United’s squad to face Bournemouth at the weekend with a minor injury and it is unknown whether he will be part of the travelling squad to Russia.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic will almost certainly start against FC Rostov. Even if Mourinho had an inkling to rest him, the incoming three match ban means he’ll have plenty of rest after this trip to Russia so he’ll play the full 90 minutes.
The United squad will travel to Russia on Tuesday afternoon and we’ll bring you the full travelling party when the news is made official.
