The Football Association confirmed that he had accepted a three-match ban for his elbow on Tyrone Mings earlier in the week in the draw against Bournemouth.
He will now miss the FA Cup quarter-final at Chelsea on Monday, followed by the Premier League matches against Middlesbrough and West Brom, but is eligible to play in United’s Europa League matches.
Speaking about the situation, Mourinho insists he’ll utilise Ibrahimovic’s skill set while he can.
“No reaction,” he said.
He plays tomorrow. I don’t comment about the domestic decision.”
He’s set to return in the home game with Everton on April 4, and it’ll be a massive blow for Mourinho as he’s scored 26 goals in all competitions so far this season.
It’s a shame because Zlatan would have been in the line-up to face in-form Chelsea, but his exclusion is set to cause Mourinho problems.
Zlatan has been a vital player this season and hopes are Marcus Rashford is ready to lead the line, as he should be playing upfront in the games the big Swede will miss.
