The 21-year-old made his first Premier League start since October against Bournemouth on Saturday after being left on the sidelines for the games against St Etienne and Southampton in the EFL Cup final.
He returned with a point to prove and Samuel Luckhurst, writing for Manchester Evening News, claims Man United will stand by the Englishman as there are no plans to sign another left-back.
Although he didn’t travel with the squad for the trip to Russia in the Europa League, Mourinho remains keen on cementing Shaw’s place in the first-team.
His performances in training are said to have been the reason behind his limited chances since his return to training two months ago, with Mourinho claiming he has no intentions to sell Shaw as he has the potential to become one of United’s best.
The Portuguese boss was also full of praise for Shaw after the Bournemouth fixture and it’ll be a big confidence boost as he continues to work hard for his place in the side.
