Danny Higginbotham insists Henrikh Mkhitaryan is unique at Manchester United because he’s able to provide what no other player is capable of.
The Armenian has been in fine form at Old Trafford, scoring in the 1-0 win against Saint-Etienne before the midfielder had to come off shortly after due to an injury problem, but he returned against FC Rostov and found the back of the net once again in the first-half.
Man United face Chelsea in the FA Cup last eight on Monday night and there’s no doubt Mkhitaryan will be in the starting line-up as he’s been our best performer since his return to the first-team.
Speaking about Mkhitaryan’s qualities, Higginbotham claims he has the pace to get in behind defenders.
“He is very important. He brings to Manchester United something that no other player can do. He has pace to get in behind,” he said.
“Mata and Herrera have good vision but haven’t got that pace. Martial and Rashford have the pace but sometimes don’t have the final pass. Mkhitaryan is a mixture of them both.”
He’s been incredible at Man United and following a slow start to the campaign where Jose Mourinho was looking to get the best out of him, he’s really begun to find his feet.
Hopes are he can continue his impressive form as he’s set for a massive future at Old Trafford if he keeps up what he’s doing.
