Manchester United fans were left disappointed with Marcus Rashford‘s performance against Chelsea in the FA Cup quarter-final clash at Stamford Bridge.
Many believed he would not be included in the squad as he was struggling with an illness, but he returned just in time as he was determined to start up front in Zlatan Ibrahimovic‘s absence.
It was a shame because although he did have chances to score, it was often him who made the opportunites in the first place, showcasing brilliant attributes, but lacking the end product.
Here’s what fans on social media had to say about his performance.
Feel so sorry for Rashford, looks so short of confidence. I know Mourinho prefers Zlatan, but he's made Rashford look half the player he was.

Rashford was doing some great work before the red, but is anonymous now. Not really sure what United can do aside from pump it forward.

He has incredible desire to help the cause at United and Jose Mourinho claimed before the game that it was his decision to take part in the clash as he recovered just in time.
Rashford wasn’t to blame as he was also let down by his teammates as Ander Herrera was sent off in the first-half, forcing Mourinho to take off his most creative player in Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who would have undoubtedly been able to create chances for the 19-year-old.
Mourinho has confirmed he’s in contention to start our next Premier League clashes with Ibrahimovic serving a three-match ban and hopes are he’s able to re-find his brilliant form.
