The Special One has previously claimed that he expects Ibrahimovic, who signed a one year contract at Old Trafford over the summer, to activate a clause that enables him to remain in Manchester for another year.
However, the Swede has refused to confirm whether his Man United career will stretch into 2018, with some reports noting that a summer move to China could be on the cards.
But Mourinho, speaking after his side’s 3-1 win over Middlesbrough, was quick to note that there were no new developments surrounding Zlatan’s destination for next season.
“I don’t have news. And for the next two days I don’t want news,” he said.
Mourinho won’t be the only person frustrated by constant questions surrounding Zlatan’s future.
The man himself – the only person who actually can know anything about his next destination – must be growing pretty irate too, mainly because, for all the speculation thrown around in the last few months, the only factor at play when it comes to whether Zlatan will remain at Old Trafford for another year is indeed how the big Swede feels both physically and mentally at the end of the season. Only then, and not before, will we know anything concrete.
