The Spaniard believes Mourinho’s ambition to improve has been ever-present since he took over at Old Trafford last summer, already securing his first trophy at United after winning the EFL Cup last month.
He’s bee in spectacular form once again this campaign at Old Trafford, keeping 10 clean sheets in the Premier League and proving he’s the best goalkeeper in the world.
Speaking about his future under Mourinho, De Gea was in good spirits when talking about the Portuguese boss.
“His best quality is the strength I have transmitted,” he said.
“He is very ambitious.”
De Gea has been incredible at Untied and while he may not win the Player of the Season award again this year, it’s only because other’s in the side have finally stepped up and not down to a dip in form.
United are currently fifth in the Premier League, only four points behind Liverpool and Mourinho will hope to continue his team’s good form as they face West Brom at Old Trafford on Saturday, April 1, with a Champions League qualification still the main aim.
