Henrikh Mkhitaryan provides injury update for Manchester United fans

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has provided an update on his injury and made it clear he’s ready to return to action.

The Armenian midfielder was an unused substitute on the bench for Manchester United’s 3-1 win over Middlesbrough in the Premier League last weekend and there was no confirmed return date for him.

However, speaking while away on international duty with Armenia, Mkhitaryan said he’s ready to return to action.

“Now everything is okay, I feel good and I will be ready for the upcoming match of the national team,” he said.

“All players are in good spirit ahead of the match with Kazakhstan, everyone is training very well, we all know the value of this match.

“I think we will be very well prepared for the match. Of course we will play for victory. In each match all of us have expectations for victory. In the previous match we were losing 0:2, but we won 3:2. The fans are also waiting for a victory in this match.

“All competitors are very difficult competitors for us, there is no easy competitor for us. It simply depends on how we will train for the match, how we will study the opponent, how much luck will help us.

“We study the Kazakhs step by step, we haven’t completely finished yet. We still have a few days ahead. I think the coach will present everything to us and will help us in their weak and strong sides.”

The quicker Henrikh Mkhitaryan is fully fit again for Man United the better because we truly are a different looking attacking team with and without him in the team. He changes our dynamic, adds real pace and incision and a touch of quality which no other player is capable of to the same standard.

Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata are both excellent in their own individual ways but Mkhitaryan is the complete package for me. It might have been a slow start to life for him at United but since he burst onto the scene properly he’s been our most influential player alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

With the race for the top four heating up and teams dropping points around United, Mkhitaryan’s return will be timely up against a West Brom team who will be confident after they brushed past Arsenal.
