Manchester United fans have responded to Jose Mourinho‘s criticism of Luke Shaw‘s work rate at Old Trafford, with many sharing the Portuguese’s view that the youngster ought to work harder over the next few months.
Shaw has only seen 70 minutes of Premier League action since pulling out of the starting XI hours prior to Man United’s clash with Swansea City in November.
United fans were quick to criticise the Englishman for failing to mount a resurgence at Old Trafford over the last few months, with others encouraging the youngster to demonstrate his worth over the next few weeks.
Sounds obvious but hard work and application will always outweigh raw talent. Just look at Ravel Morrison. A big few months for Luke Shaw.

Pochettino, Van Gaal, Hodgson and Mourinho. All have criticised Luke Shaw's fitness and conditioning.
Unlikely that they've all been wrong.

Mourinho, Van Gaal, Hodgson, Gary Neville & Pochettino have all criticised Shaw's fitness levels. Alarming & certainly not a coincidence.

All the Luke Shaw meltdowns, but maybe a chance to praise Ashley Young now for being a top pro. Never complains and sacrifices for the team!

Just shows how far Luke Shaw has dropped given that Young, Darmian, Blind and Rojo are all trusted at left back more than him.

The writing was on the wall, you felt, in the wake of that Swansea game. Mourinho has always demanded warriors – players willing to play through searing pain in the pursuit of victory, to demand nothing but the best.
And there was Shaw, complaining about not feeling 100% ahead of the clash with Bob Bradley’s side. If such an outburst didn’t render his status at Old Trafford untenable, his failure to mount any kind of resurgence since his fall-out with the Portuguese certainly has.
