Antoine Griezmann’s sporting advisor, Eric Olhats, claims the Frenchman has attracted big interest from Manchester United, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona.
He’s been continuously linked with an Old Trafford move as Jose Mourinho has allegedly placed him at the top of his summer wishlist, however, when asked about his future, Griezmann believes there’s no reason to move away from Atletico Madrid.
Reports suggest good friend Paul Pogba has been sending Griezmann text messages insisting the weather and atmosphere in Manchester is not so bad but it remains to be seen if a summer transfer will materialise.
Speaking about a transfer, Olhats insists there are many clubs that have been in touch about a potential move.
“There is not 50,000 clubs that can put 100 million on the table,” he said.
“It is the price of the clause, it restricts the number of the current candidates.
“I heard that Manchester United was officially recorded, it was signed, but we do not even know if they will play in the Champions League!
“It’s Manchester United, they have taken information, like all the others.
“They come to know what is our state of mind, the mindset of the player if there are possibilities.
“Chelsea, Manchester City, Barcelona and even Real have tapped the door to find out.”
Griezmann would be an incredible addition at Old Trafford but Mourinho faces stiff competition in the race to lands his services.
The Portuguese boss has proven he can be very persuasive and if he sets his sights on a player, there’s a good chance we could see them in a United shirt, even if it does mean breaking the record transfer fee.
