Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi’s agent, Hakeem Bello, has confirmed that his client would be open to a move to Manchester United over the summer.
The Nigerian earned a move to the champions over the January transfer window after impressing at Belgian side Genk, arriving for a fee of £17m.
He has only received limited opportunities since arriving at the Kingpower Stadium, making nine appearances and claiming one goal.
And Bello, speaking to Own Goal Nigeria, noted that the 20-year-old would happily join Man United during the summer transfer window.
“Ndidi won’t say no to Manchester United – I can proudly tell you that if a bid is launched for him, he will most likely ask Leicester City for a transfer,” he said.
“We’re talking [about] Manchester United, the biggest and most successful [club] in England. That’s a no-brainer.”
It is not often that 20-year-olds can play in five different positions with equal levels of competence, but Ndidi is most certainly one of them.
He is indeed a midfielder by trade, offering a valuable mixture of discipline and strength at the core of proceedings, but can also serve as a menacing presence across the back four. Such versatility is indicative of a superb footballing brain; he remains largely inexperienced at this level, but Mourinho could benefit from taking a gamble on this exciting young talent.
