Manchester United will listen to offers for Adnan Januzaj this summer – report

Manchester United will listen to offers for Adnan Januzaj over the summer transfer window following an underwhelming loan spell at Sunderland this season, according to reports.

The Belgian was sent out on loan to the Black Cats last year after failing to break into Jose Mourinho‘s starting XI and has made 24 appearances under David Moyes, scoring just once.

Mourinho confirmed last week that he had made a decision over Januzaj’s future but refused to disclose any more than that.

And according to the Telegraph’s James Ducker, Mourinho will listen to offers from other clubs for the 21-year-old, with Italy or France serving as the two most likely options.

Januzaj can hardly complain over falling out of favour at Old Trafford. He will return to Carrington in June having failed to display any real signs of progression over the past year and, as a result, still lies miles behind the likes of Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, alongside any new recruits the Portuguese may make over the summer.

A place in the first team – let alone the starting XI – feels dramatically unlikely. Even Andreas Pereira, following his positive loan spell at Granada, has a better chance of breaching the senior side over the summer.
