Manchester United face Chelsea on Sunday in the biggest game of the Premier League weekend and after playing Anderlecht only a few days ago, there are real question marks about what team Jose Mourinho will play.
Ahead of kick-off at 1600 GMT on Sunday, here is all of the early confirmed squad news.
David de Gea was deemed fit enough to be on the bench away in Belgium on Thursday and is expected to return to the starting XI on Sunday. Sergio Romero might have been an excellent deputy this season but nobody is under any illusion De Gea is by far and away Man United’s best goalkeeper.
Antonio Valencia is an injury concern after Jose Mourinho confirmed he wasn’t able to play every single game at the moment in his post-match press duties after the 1-1 draw with Anderlecht. Given that whoever plays at right-back will square off with Eden Hazard, United fans are hoping Valencia is fit.
Now, the Wayne Rooney situation is strange. Nobody truly knows whether he is injured or simply being kept out of the squad by Mourinho. Will he return on Sunday? There is every chance but what we do know is he has been back in training since last week.
Ashley Young is available and return to ready after spending a small time on the sidelines. If Valencia isn’t fit, Young could well come in at right-back.
Mourinho has already confirmed Marcos Rojo and Eric Bailly will start at centre-back against Chelsea. United have very little option at centre-back thanks to injuries and for the foreseeable future I can’t see that changing.
As for United’s serious injuries, Mourinho also said Chris Smalling and Phil Jones were not expected to return this season but he does hope to see Juan Mata return a few weeks sooner, potentially in time for the end of the season.
We’ll bring you the full confirmed team at 1500 GMT, an hour before kick-off as always.
