Everton have placed a £100m price tag on Manchester United target Romelu Lukaku, according to reports.

The Premier League top goal scorer has refused to sign a new contract at Goodison Park as he wants to play for a club that are in the Champions League.

Everton will be determined to try and keep hold of his services but would be forced into considering a massive summer offer if his valuation is met, especially as he doesn’t have any intention of staying.

He is said to be seen by Jose Mourinho as Zlatan Ibrahimovic‘s replacement at Old Trafford as the big Swede is Man United’s top goalscorer with 28 goals across all competitions and his future remains uncertain as the 35-year-old is in the latter stages of his career.

Lukaku has continuously performed and he’s a player who is proven in the Premier League, which is vital as he’d be able to have an instant impact following a move to Old Trafford.

It’s a huge price to pay, but Lukaku is still only 23 and has a massive career ahead of him at one of Europe’s top clubs.

Man United have two ways of getting back into the Champions League and there’s no doubt that Jose Mourinho will have a big advantage in signing new talent should the side qualify ahead of next campaign.
