The Paris Saint-Germain defender is a fine option at right-back and has attracted interest from Europe’s top clubs.
Antonio Valencia has played an incredible role at Old Trafford this season and has pushed Matteo Darmian out of his natural position, making the right-back role his own, which has resulted in little to no competition.
He has allegedly agreed to an Old Trafford move this summer which would see him play alongside Eric Bailly.
The 24-year-old would be an incredible signing, but with Valencia’s fine form this season it remains to be seen how Jose Mourinho would line-up his side, especially after stating the Ecuadorian was the best right-back in the world.
It wouldn’t hurt to have some competition for Valencia at United, but as one of our most consistent performers this campaign, Valencia has already been performing to the best of his abilities.
At 31, Mourinho will need to find a replacement for Valencia in the next few years, but now is not the time as Valencia still has plenty to offer and Aurier won’t be happy with a backup role, especially after playing an important role at PSG.
