Steven Gerrard has reacted to Antoine Griezmann’s potential Manchester United transfer, claiming he needs to be kept as far away from Old Trafford as possible.
He has attracted interest from Europe’s elite following his impressive performances at Atletico Madrid under Diego Simeone.
Griezmann has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer as he allegedly sits at the top of Jose Mourinho‘s transfer list and has had to continuously address his future at the Vicente Calderon Stadium with growing speculation.
Speaking about a potential move, Gerrard claims he needs to be kept far away from United.

He would be an incredible signing at United and would be a statement of intent from Mourinho once again as he looks to build on his incredible first summer at the club where he was able to sign the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Eric Bailly without Champions League football to offer.
It’s exactly what Mourinho will want at United, for rivals to fear his signings and tactics, and while we’re not at that point yet, the side aren’t far away.
