by Sam Peoples

Wayne Rooney is set to be part of Manchester United’s squad for Anderlecht tonight having checked in with his teammates at the Lowry Hotel on Wednesday night.

Rooney, 31, hasn’t played in nearly a month for Man United but looks to have recovered from his double ankle injury which has kept him sidelined for some time.

Man United’s confirmed squad members vs Anderlecht (via Manchester Evening News): David de Gea, Sergio Romero, Joel Pereira, Antonio Valencia, Matteo Darmian, Eric Bailly, Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw, Ander Herrera, Michael Carrick, Marouane Fellaini, Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, Ashley Young, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Wayne Rooney, Anthony Martial, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Marcus Rashford

Jose Mourinho effectively has a full squad at his disposal with Chris Smalling, Juan Mata and Phil Jones the only noteable absentees due to injury.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah looks to have been left out and if the Manchester Evening News is correct so has Daley Blind and Axel Tuanzebe.
