Zlatan Ibrahimovic has provided an encouraging injury update for Manchester United fans as he confirmed his surgery had been a success.
The 35-year-old suffered cruciate knee-ligament damage in a Europa League victory over Anderlecht on 20 April.
With 28 goals this season, Ibrahimovic has been one of our most important players and it’ll be a massive blow to have him out of action as he’s set to begin rehabilitation in Pittsburgh.
He claims he feels fixed and stronger following the operation and posted an update on his social media for worried supporters.
He arrived at Old Trafford on a one-year deal from French champions Paris St-Germain last summer, but is yet to agree on an extension on his current deal as he was waiting to see if he could perform to the best of his abilities for next year.
Zlatan is the type of player the club has missed in recent years and it’s a massive setback to have a player of his quality out of action, as he’s proven to be a vital player on and off the pitch.
Hopes are he has a swift recovery because if there’s one man that has the ability to fight back from such an injury at the age of 35, it’s Zlatan, and he won’t want to end his incredible career in such a sad way.
