Ander Herrera sends warning to Manchester United team mates

Ander Herrera has sent a warning to his Manchester United teammates ahead of the second leg of their Europa League semi-final clash with Celta Vigo, noting that the Spaniards always score away from home.

Marcus Rashford‘s superb free kick after 67 minutes handed Jose Mourinho‘s men an away goal and a deserved 1-0 win in Spain.

Mourinho, however, was notably frustrated with his side’s inability to finish off the numerous chances they created against Celta.

And Herrera, speaking after the game, has also cautioned his teammates to remain just as solid as they were in Spain when the two sides meet again on Thursday.

“We are playing a lot of games and we are playing to get to a European final and for us that is fundamental,” he said.

“I think we played a good match. We controlled the match against a Celta side that always creates, that is always offensive and is easy on the eye.

“It’s not easy to keep a clean sheet against Celta. To get to the final we have to play just as well at Old Trafford in the second leg because they always score away.

“The percentage chance of us making the final is the same as it was before the first game. Until the referee blows the final whistle in the second leg I won’t be calm because Celta always score away.”

It is worth noting that, in all three of their knockout games this season, Celta have played the second leg away from home and gone through each time.

They were significantly outplayed and indeed outmuscled on Thursday night but will know that grabbing the first goal at Old Trafford would alter the entire complexion of the tie. United, however, will feel like they can pull apart this Celta side next week after carving out numerous chances at Balaidos.
