Manchester United take 22-man squad to London for Arsenal game

by Sam Peoples

Manchester United have a 22-man squad for Sunday’s game against Arsenal which includes four youngsters.

Antonio Valencia has been given a rest by Jose Mourinho after playing more minutes in April than any other Man United player and his absence, combined with a host of injury concerns, means Jose Mourinho has turned towards the academy to bolster his options.

Demetri Mitchell, Scott McTominay, Matthew Olosunde and Matty Willock have all travelled while Ashley Young is not part of the squad having suffered what could be a season ending injury against Celta Vigo on Thursday.

Here is United’s full travelling squad (via Manchester Evening News): David de Gea, Sergio Romero, Joel Pereira, Matteo Darmian, Matthew Olosunde, Chris Smalling, Eric Bailly, Axel Tuanzebe, Phil Jones, Daley Blind, Demetri Mitchell, Michael Carrick, Scott McTominay, Matty Willock, Paul Pogba, Ander Herrera, Jesse Lingard, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Juan Mata, Marcus Rashford, Wayne Rooney, Anthony Martial

Four players will not make the matchday squad and we’ll bring you the confirmed final 18 when the news is out at 1500GMT on Sunday.
