The Englishman has been a vital player at Old Trafford this season and has stepped up in the absnse of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has been ruled out with an injury for the next 12 months.
Jose Mourinho confirmed he’s set to rest the players that played the most games in April, and with Rashford on the list, we could see him earn a much-needed rest in Sunday’s Premier League clash against Arsenal.
Speaking about his team-mate, Lingard reveals he’s got the right mindset and is set on improving his game.
“He can handle the pressure,” he said.
“He’s been about long enough now to handle the pressure.
“He’s scored major goals for United and again he’s got the important goal. He’s still going. He’s going to fill out even more.
“His knowledge of the game, his game intelligence will continue to grow and he’ll keep learning and go from there.
“Of late he’s been put on set-pieces and his corner delivery and free-kicks have been excellent. Close to goal he’s got a real chance of scoring.”
“It’s part and parcel of football. He’s going to learn. People are always going to have an opinion.
“You’ve just got to focus on the next game and he’s bounced back with that goal.”
He picked up a slight injury towards the end of the Celta Vigo clash in Spain, after playing an incredible part with a well-taken free kick to help the side take the lead in the first-leg.
Rashford walked off gingerly towards the end and Mourinho will not want to risk his star asset with some very important fixtures coming up.
