Gareth Bale is open to a move to Manchester United this summer after growing frustrated with injury problems at Real Madrid, according to reports.
The Welshman, who signed for Madrid back in 2013, has only managed 19 La Liga appearances this season due to persistent injury woes.
And according to The Sun‘s Jamie Gordon, Bale would consider a move to Old Trafford, alongside Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint Germain over the summer.
If Bale is indeed seeking to address his bad luck with regard to injuries by moving to another club, United probably don’t serve as the best fit. Jose Mourinho has had to contend with eight senior players being unavailable at the zenith of his injury crisis at Old Trafford this season; Van Gaal, it should be noted, had it even worse at times.
That said, no supporter would be against seeing Bale descend on Old Trafford over the summer. That raw, unstoppable fervour going forward that saw him outgrow Spurs has been bolstered further by a sense of grandeur – a real aptitude for the big stage – at the Bernabeu.
