The 28-year-old has claimed 120 Premier League goals since arriving at the Ethiad back in 2011 and 18 under Pep Guardiola this season.
But according to the Mail Online‘s Jack Gaughan, Aguero will reject a move to Old Trafford on the pretext of not wanting to tarnish his relationship with Manchester City supporters.
It would be only fair for United, in response to that whole Carlos Tevez ordeal back in 2009, to pinch an Argentine superstar from their noisy neighbours in response.
That said, while the prospect of Aguero moving to another club over the summer remains a possibility, the idea of that next destination being United just makes no sense at all. It almost feels counter-intuitive; kind of like inviting somebody who burned down your house to a dinner party (and yes, I am referring to that goal against Queens Park Rangers – something I have not recovered from). A superb striker, yes, but somebody that would never realistically put on a United shirt.
