Manchester United vs Celta Vigo: Confirmed squad news

by Sam Peoples

Manchester United have their most important game of the season tonight against Celta Vigo in the Europa League semi-final second leg.

With a slender 1-0 lead from Spain, it is advantage Man United but Celta Vigo won’t go down without a fight and as there is a place in the Europa League final up for grabs, expect an intense game tonight. But who is available for Jose Mourinho to play?

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Marcos Rojo, Ashley Young and Timothy Fosu-Mensah are all going to miss the rest of the season for United but the good news is that everybody else is ready and available.

Here is the squad which checked into the Lowry hotel on Wednesday night: David de Gea, Sergio Romero, Antonio Valencia, Matteo Darmian, Chris Smalling, Axel Tuanzebe, Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, Daley Blind, Michael Carrick, Marouane Fellaini, Paul Pogba, Ander Herrera, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Wayne Rooney, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford

After being fully rested for the Arsenal game we should see Antonio Valencia, Paul Pogba, Eric Bailly and Daley Blind looking sharper than usual while Marcus Rashford will also be raring to go having made a second half appearance at the Emirates.

Will we see Marouane Fellaini start ahead of Juan Mata? Will Wayne Rooney be in the starting XI? There are still a few questions to ask before the team news is revealed at 1900GMT but with a strong squad available, Mourinho has everyone at his disposal for tonight’s huge game with Celta Vigo.
