The 35-year-old tore his anterior cruciate ligament in Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Anderlecht last month and was at the Pittsburgh Medical Centre to try and save his career.
Zlatan has scored 28 goals this season for Man United as the club’s top goal scorer but he hasn’t signed a new deal ahead of next season as his future at Old Trafford remains in doubt.
Speaking about his situation, Dr Freddie Fu claims Zlatan is in superb shape.
“I can’t discuss too many details, I don’t want to get in trouble with Manchester United,” he said.
“But I can tell you he’s in superb shape in all things. Healthy morphology, the quality of the bone and muscle, everything is as good as you can possibly see.
“He’s one of the top athletes I’ve ever touched, he is in superb shape.”
Ibrahimovic’s agent, Mino Raiola, claimed that doctors wanted Ibrahimovic back after his career to research on him because his knee was so strong and I wouldn’t be surprised.
He works incredibly hard to stay in shape and if there’s one man that can fight back from a career-ending injury at 35, it’s Zlatan.
