Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester United: Potential XI with Axel Tuanzebe and Scott McTominay

Jose Mourinho can now fully write off the Premier League after guiding his Manchester United side to the Europa League final on Thursday night.

Man United made hard work of it, but a 1-1 draw, with Marouane Fellaini grabbing an early goal, proving enough to send Mourinho’s men to Stockholm.

The Portuguese, in preparation, will want to keep his key players fresh – or at least as fresh as you can be after 60 games this season – ahead of the final.

With that in mind, here is a potential XI for this weekend’s clash with Tottenham Hotspur featuring youngsters Axel Tuanzebe and Scott McTominay.

There is no point in risking important players over the next few weeks, especially against a Spurs side that will, no doubt, hit the visitors with everything they have for their last ever game at White Hart Lane.

The Premier League should from now on serve as a chance to blood several youngsters ahead of pre-season; Tuanzebe and McTominay both featured against Arsenal last weekend and demonstrated an admirable work ethic, even in the face of inevitable defeat, and would benefit from coming up against the Premier League’s most athletic side this season.

Mourinho will, of course, want to give some first team members a chance to maintain momentum ahead of the final. Daley Blind, for one, could do with a confidence booster following an underwhelming display against Celta Vigo.
