Antonio Valencia has been named Manchester United’s 2017 Players’ Player of the Year.
The Ecuadorian’s phenomenal performances at right-back have made him one of Man United’s most important players and
he takes the award from Chris Smalling who won it last season.
Speaking about the award, Valencia said: “It’s all about working hard. I’m really pleased and grateful for the manager’s words. I’m also grateful for the support of the fans and, on this occasion, my teammates, who have backed me all the way.”
Congratulations Tony for a richly deserved award. It’s been five years since he was named our Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year and now he’s overcome his injury woes to be named our Players’ Player of the Year. Class.
