Axel Tuanzebe produced another stellar display from midfield during Manchester United’s 2-0 win over Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
The youngster was handed his fourth consecutive Premier League start against Sam Allardyce’s side after making his debut against Arsenal earlier this month.
And on what was his first start at Old Trafford, Tuanzebe treated supporters to another confident, fluid display on the ball from start to finish.
His stats from the game shed light on what was a practically faultless outing at the heart of midfield.
Tuanzebe's game by numbers vs. Palace:
100% pass accuracy
100% dribbles completed

There were a number of notable junctures that occurred during Man United’s final home game of the season: Josh Haropp’s superb debut, accompanied by an even more superb debut goal; the reintroduction of Paul Pogba and a consequent switch of tempo in midfield; Demetri Mitchell‘s wonderfully energetic and composed debut at left back; Angel Gomes, aged just 16, becoming the first Premier League player born in the 21st century; Wayne Rooney possibly making his last ever appearance at the Theatre of Dreams.
Amid all of that, however, was the seamless influence of Tuanzebe. This may have been a game played in third gear, but to not misplace a single pass in 90 minutes is a feat that deserves recognition. Then again, watching the 19-year-old calmly move the ball around the pitch, you sometimes wonder how a player blessed with such a simple, composed style could ever put a foot wrong.
Nine academy products featured against Sam Allardyce’s men, and Tuanzebe without doubt figures as the most likely to keep his place in the first team over the next year following an impressive run of games in May.
